How paper thin are the walls that seperate our lives.

Fate, chance and karma are shown in this slow-to-get-going film. There are a few paralell stories, and they interweave in a very Decolog-like way... the characters subtly (and sometimes not to subtly) influence each other's lives. The characters are excellently portrayed, and very well written.

I saw a Hong Kong film about a year ago (I can't remember the title now though...). During one of the scenes, the two lead characters are in the same neighbourhood of New York City after being separated for years. They don't know that they're anywhere near each other- I wasnted to yell out "Look behind you!" - but well, that would have been dumb... it's a film.

Same thing here. I wanted to tell the character who that other person is- they're all so close to each other, but they have no idea at all.
