What happens when a bunch of peasants suddenly own the farm? Lots of stuff. Yeah. This is a pretty good David-vs-Goliath tale about the stuggles of the "1/7th farmers" as they are come to be known, against the established 'Gentlemen Farmers' of the surrounding area. Set sometime around the turn of the century, I'd imagine, in Austria, this film very accurately portrays the farm life of the time, and the struggle the new farmers have to try to fit in with the other farmers. Lots of dramatic infighting, and it thankfully avoids a Disney ending, which is so common with this kind of story.
