This is my favourite film of the festival.

A wonderfully original premise, elegantly executed, and deeply satisfying. A simple way to describe it would be as a Japanese equivalent to Wim Wenders' "Wings of Desire". But it is also much more than that and can be well appreciated on its own merits.
