Just a dotthe tall blond guy goes to japan

An odd kind of predictability

Nagano City

Things are getting predictable in a strange kind of way now.

I'm in Nagano City, and while I wanted to go skiing, it's snowing outside and visibility on the nearby mountains is near zero. So just like the Olympic events, I have had to postpone my skiing adventure. Entirely predictable, knowing this city's weather track record. I should have some pretty Nagano snow pictures by the next update.

I'm about to fly home, and true to form, I'm starting to get a throat cold. I had one when I arrived in Japan and now, as if to complete the cycle, I'm getting one again. Wandering around in the rain last night might have had something to do with it. But again, predictable. I don't think it's possible for me to get on an airplane without having a bit of an ailment, in one way or another.

Fact: Did you know that Tokyo-Narita airport (the big main one) has only one runway? They've been planning to expand since the thing was built decades ago, but local farmers won't sell their land. A few of them have been bombing the airport too, on a regular basis. It's not even news anymore. Predictable. A bomb at Narita? Oh, must be those farmers again.
