Just a dotthe tall blond guy goes to japan

Ho Bau!

Spaghettata

Some languages just express things in more fitting ways than others. For example, German's "huebschrauber" sounds way more like a helicopter does than "helicopter".

The title is Cantonese. It means "very full". It's all I could think about as I was finishing one of the best spaghetti meals I've ever had.

I think I will no longer actively seek out Japanese food places. Their versions of the foods of other cultures are generally better, or at least more interesting.

Spaghettata is a nicely-decorated place with staff who are only a little intimidated by a tall, goofy-looking foreigner. This could be any one of a number of slightly tacky Italian restaurants at home, right down to the music playing in the background.

I only wish the waiters would stop staring at me. I want to check this place out, but I dare not glance in their direction, lest they think I'm trying to attract their attention.

They were fascinated by my digital camera and were quite amazed when I showed them how it worked. Say arigato gozaimasu!
